I told you I'd be wearing these boots to death! I wore them casually around the house and then on a quick coffee run, but I didn’t style them at all during those outings. Dear reader, when I finally wore this complete outfit outside, I don’t think I’ve ever had so many eyes on me at once.
It was quite a surprise when a guy even tried to hit on me from his car while I was walking by. That unexpected interaction made for a good laugh on my part! Boots are always a fantastic fall staple, aren’t they? For this look, I did focus on more neutrals, and rather than trying to match the boots exactly, I aimed to add complementary elements to them, if that makes sense.
I bought this skirt on a whim last year, and it has truly proven to be a great addition to my wardrobe. I love its rich copper hue, which pairs beautifully with my favorite camera bag. I’m so happy to be styling outfits again; it’s a beautiful distraction from everyday life.

there's something about august in new york city that feels different.
the city is still buzzing, but the pace starts to slow just enough to notice. the sunsets come a little earlier, the humidity finally gives you a break (sometimes), and suddenly everyone is talking about fall—even though we're still wearing sandals.
i've always loved this in-between season because getting dressed becomes more creative. it's less about chasing every summer trend and more about mixing the pieces you've been loving all season with a few hints of what's coming next.
here's what's inspiring my wardrobe this august.
