As always I had a wonderful time at the Stoney Clover lane location in the West Village! It’s one of my favorite stores and everyone there is always so kind and so wonderful. SCL released a Tomato collection recently and I had to get in on it thanks to it’s awesome marketing and NYC Themes. There’s something about getting dressed in New York City that makes you rethink your entire wardrobe.
You can leave your apartment in the morning for a coffee run and somehow end up walking three miles, sitting in a café for two hours, running errands, meeting a friend for dinner, and making an impromptu stop somewhere you’ve never been before. Your clothes have to keep up with you.
And honestly? I think getting older has changed the way I think about getting dressed, too.
In my 20s, I was much more willing to buy something simply because I thought it was cute. These days, I want my clothes to be cute and comfortable. I want pieces that can be worn five different ways, shoes I can actually walk in, and a wardrobe that makes getting dressed feel easier instead of more complicated.
