Back to Las Vegas: What I’m Wearing, Packing & Doing.
There’s just something about going back to Las Vegas in the summer that feels a little cinematic to me. The dry heat. The late nights. The feeling that you can accidentally wander into the best meal, the prettiest hotel lobby, or the most random memory of your life at literally any moment.
I’m heading back in late June, and this trip already feels softer than my last one. Less rushing around. More lounging. More “let me romanticize this frozen rosè by the pool for two hours” energy.
This time around, I’m packing light fabrics, linen everything, oversized sunglasses, sandals that can survive the Strip, and at least one outfit that deserves its own playlist because I’m seeing Rosalía in concert. Which honestly feels like the main character moment of the entire trip.
The outfit vision right now is somewhere between effortless vacation girl and dramatic pop concert energy. I’m thinking flowy white linen during the day, gold jewelry, slicked back hair after the pool, and then something darker and moodier for the concert. Maybe black satin. Maybe boots, even though that sounds mildly irresponsible in Vegas heat.
And yes, I already know I’m overpacking.
What’s Going in My Suitcase:
My packing strategy for Vegas is basically this: if it wrinkles beautifully, it’s coming with me.
Right now, my suitcase looks like:
linen button-downs
breezy matching sets
oversized black sunglasses
tiny shoulder bags
sandals for daytime
One pair of comfortable sneakers for casino wandering
a swimsuit rotation specifically for pool days
a lightweight makeup routine because Vegas heat humbles everybody
SPF. aggressively.
one “I might wear this to dinner” dress that somehow never actually gets worn
I also always bring one hoodie because casinos love pretending it’s winter indoors.
Pool Days at Fontainebleau Las Vegas:
One thing I fully plan on doing is absolutely nothing by the pool.
The pool scene at Fontainebleau looks gorgeous and very much my speed. Clean design, bright blue water, good lounge chairs, frozen drinks, and the kind of atmosphere where you can spend half the day reading, scrolling Pinterest, and pretending you live there temporarily.
I already know I’m inevitably going to end up taking way too many photos of my iced coffee, the sun-dappled pages of whatever book I throw in my beach bag, and a few candid shots of the view.
Honestly? That alone sounds like a vacation to me.
The Princess Diana Exhibit:
I also really want to spend an afternoon at Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition near ARIA. I double checked it, and it’s still open in 2026 at The Shops at Crystals connected to ARIA. The exhibit includes over 700 artifacts tied to Princess Diana and the royal family, including fashion pieces, letters, and recreations of iconic moments from her life.
If you know me at all, you already know this is exactly the kind of Vegas activity I love balancing into a trip. A little glamour. A little fashion history. A little emotional spiral over Princess Diana photos.
Apparently, the exhibit takes around 60–90 minutes, which honestly sounds perfect for escaping the afternoon heat for a while.
Returning to Koolsville Tattoo for another $10 tattoo:
At this point, it’s tradition.
Every Vegas trip deserves a tiny, impulsive tattoo memory, and I fully intend to go back to Koolsville for another little flash piece. Something simple. Something slightly ridiculous. Something future me will look at and instantly remember this exact version of my life.
I love collecting tiny markers of different eras and trips like that.
Vegas encourages that energy anyway.
Things I Might End Up Doing:
One of my favorite things about Vegas is that even if you plan half the trip, the other half usually just happens. But here are a few things currently on my “maybe” list:
dinner at Carbone because everyone talks about the spicy rigatoni
Finally seeing more of the Arts District
spending an absurd amount of time inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas just for the vibes
a slow morning walk through The Venetian Resort Las Vegas with coffee in hand
late-night tacos after the concert
Maybe booking a spa afternoon if the heat gets too intense
vintage shopping off-strip
finding a rooftop somewhere to watch the city lights for a while
seeing another random exhibit I didn’t plan for
ordering room service at least once because vacation rules
And knowing me, there’s also a very real possibility I’ll end up filming half of this for a vlog while trying not to melt in 108-degree weather.
Still worth it.
Vegas has become one of those places for me that feels familiar now. Not in a “been there done that” way, but in a comforting way. Like revisiting a movie you already love because you know exactly how it makes you feel.
And honestly? I can’t wait to go back.
