My name is Alessa Mieses. Most of you know me as Ally. A lot of you know me on Instagram as @TheGirlLovesMagic. I’ve been a blogger now for about 9 years. I’m not the biggest blogger but I make due. I’m not looking for pity or praise. I’m looking for understanding in these times. You see things around the world aren’t great at the moment. COVID-19 has run through many countries with no remorse. It doesn’t care about your race, religion, sex, or beliefs. It just wants to terrorize your body and damage it. God willing and with science on our side, most people will recover.

Universal Studios Japan is in Osaka, Japan, and this park is fantastic! Depending on where you are staying it can take 35mins or more to get to the park. The train station exit is right where City Walk begins and is a “hang out” spot of sorts for Japan’s teenagers. It’s on the smaller side similar to the size of Hollywoods BUT will soon get bigger thanks to it’s newest addition Nintendo World! which will feature a Mario Cart attraction!! Everything will debut in April, and I am SO EXCITED. I wish that I was there for the opening but alas I’ll have to stick to POV’s.

Oh Boy, Guys & Dolls I had the toughest time while in Japan finding anything in my size. It was a growing problem as I tried to navigate all the fashions I loved but couldn’t buy because none of it was my size.

Today’s post will be all about Tokyo DisneySea. Let’s talk about all things DisneySea. Firstly, same as Tokyo Disneyland you’ll be taking a monorail to the park or about a 20 min walk from the train station (even less if you are on the property). You’ll enter the park and as always pick up an English map, and like the last article if you need help Guest Relations has English speaking folks in there to help you out. You most likely won’t need them though!

SWEATER WEATHER: THE MICKEY EDITION
With the winter comes thicker clothing. It’s always difficult for women of my size or bigger because sometimes we can get self-conscious about how much thicker winter clothing can look on us. I’ve definitely been guilty of buying thinner coats so I don’t appear bigger than I am. This sweater though is quite nice because it gives you a bit of shape. It’s not frumpy and fits me pretty well. I have short arms so I had to tuck up my sleeves.

Oh man, where to begin with Universal Studios. How upsetting it was for a bit at Universal. Some of the ways they chose to handle rides breaking down weren’t great. We held it together though and finally…FINALLY, after years of waiting, we got on Jurassic Park! along with visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it made for a good one day trip.

It is maybe the most important thing I’ll be bringing with me because it’s going to carry my many of my important belongings. The plan is to carry at least a days worth of belongings since we are checking in most of our bags (in case they get delayed we have things for a few days). I like a light backpack and so my Loungefly bag featuring The Little Mermaid was a perfect choice as it’s pretty wide inside but is light, and has padding on the straps in case I do make it heavier and need the support.
DISNEY AT NYCC - 2019
Another year another Comic-Con in the books! I usually try to go every year for at least one day. I don’t like to go the full four days because it gets to be too intense and the likelihood of getting sick goes up crazy the longer you are around that many people (a perfect example is my fiance getting sick this week because of it!). I was there Friday and opted out of panels but did do a photo op that you can see below!
DISNEY X ALDO COLLECTION: NOTES ON DISNEY STYLE
All of my sizes are sold out. I can’t even with my life right now. I missed out clearly. I’m hoping they have more coming so I have a chance but man. Sheesh. They are adorable, aren’t they? They debuted last Friday and the heels seem to be what all the girls are grabbing. There goes any photoshoots for me huh?
PANDORA - THE LION KING EVENT @ ROOSEVELT FIELD MALL
This event took place on Long Island New York at Roosevelt Field Mall. It was in collaboration with Disney to Celebrate the release of Disney’s The Lion King. I was to take photos, use proper hashtags (for posts) & Instagram stories for the event.
