Prepping for Vegas.
Ummmm. Who here has checked the weather in Las Vegas lately? They recently had a record breaking day in 120* last week and by the time I get there i’m looking at 106* on average. So what’s a girl to do?
She gets on to the blog and starts tossing out ideas on what to bring and what to buy for this trip! Last time I was there I wore a lot of loose clothing and stayed inside a lot (it was easy to do with most casinos connected in some way). I wore lots of shorts, bralettes & lived in that pool at the Luxor.
If you want to see my Vegas trip from 2022 check out the gallery.
So I’ll give you the run down in this post of everything I’m pretty sure i’m bringing and where I’m grabbing it from (honestly variations of these items are probably in my closet already). This trip is all about relaxing. Not kidding I told my partner I don’t plan on doing much this trip. We have a few plans that i’ll tell you about tomorrow but for the most part i’m poolside, getting sun and relaxing. My hip is also acting up a bit so I have to take it easy there is no choice there. So let’s run through it all. When I get back i’ll post photos but also talk about what I wore during the trip. Make sure youre following my IG so you could see everything in real time!
I decided to pack LIGHT for the trip. I plan on wearing light fabrics and showing a lot more skin than i’m used to so that I don’t pass out!
HERE ARE MY ESSENTIALS FOR VEGAS:
Stoney Clover Duffle Bag
Mini, Small & Large pouches (SCL)
Bike Shorts / Denim Shorts
Crop Tops
Sandals / Comfy sneakers
Things I Want to Pack:
Skims swimwear
Beach cover ups
Everlane Sandals
Lightweight dresses
Black High Heels
Things I’m Buying Beforehand:
A Fan
Two piece outfits
Black Dress
High waist denim shorts
White Dress
Other things I need to buy but will get there are things like sunscreen, water, snacks…etc. Basically I need a pharmacy run so I don’t end up using the hotel fridge!
So am I missing anything? What should I add to the list?
There are some trips that feel like vacations, and then there are trips that feel like chapters.
My July trip to California definitely felt like a chapter.
After spending the first part of our vacation in Las Vegas, we packed up and made our way to Los Angeles for the second half of the adventure. And while Vegas had its own very particular kind of energy, Los Angeles felt completely different. There was more space to wander, more neighborhoods to explore, more food to eat (always important), and that very specific California feeling that makes you want to slow down and take everything in.
