Weird Feelings.
The calm before… more calm. Usually, around this time, I'm out of the country getting ready to celebrate my birthday (it's tomorrow) with some flair. This year we decided to stay home and not even more so I'm asking for a pretty calm day. A cozy day. Maybe some dinner. But if I didn't do anything tomorrow I'd be just fine.

maybe ally…sees “A Beautiful Noise”.
First show of the year for me. This one was more sentimental than any I've seen before. You see before my mom passed away she’d been eyeing A Beautiful Noise as her next trip to Broadway. She had me doing lotteries while she figured out the best time to see it.

A Different Way Now.
The most challenging part of this whole experience is grasping every day without someone you love so deeply. A simple walk for coffee easily becomes a little more important when you remember some people didn't get to do that today. You start to cherish even the small things. The mundane means more.

maybe ally…sees “Here We Are”
It took me a few days to collect my thoughts on this one. Then my world stopped so I didn't get the chance to post about it. I won a lottery in December to see this unique piece of work. The final musical by Stephen Sondheim. It's directed by one of my favorite people Joe Mantello. This piece is creative. It's funny. It's stunning visually. I enjoyed it.

'TIS THE SEASON FOR SOME MAGIC!
That's the sign of a very good weekend. Distraction was the name of the game and I went swinging with a trip to 5th Ave to see holiday decorations. Last weekend Armand and I had one day (it rained the next) to grab as much content down there as possible. We walked along 6th ave. first to see the decor around Radio City Music Hall. After that we went to 5th ave. proper and I got to see the Sak’s window and went to Lotte New York Palace to see the 2nd most famous Christmas tree in New York!

Travel: St. Louis.
St. Louis was a mini break that I really needed to be honest. Often, I get lost in Skyscrapers and the lore of New York City. It was nice to get away into Americana. The smaller cities of the United States. The cities not known by buildings but by the food and their people.

Freshen Up Your Neutrals.
What is it about our neutrals that us New Yorkers love so much?
Neutrals are your best friend. I say that lovingly. They are the key components to any outfit. They are usually the color to complete the look per say.

What I Wore in Chicago.
It was no secret that I was going to shop while in Chicago. What I didn’t expect was to find quite a few affordable classics that I now wear here in NYC pretty frequently.
Let’s go through the 4 stand-out pieces I got & one I left behind!

Fall Fashion 2023.
So I’ve been digging into the runway shows looking for trends I spotted a lot of that are slowly creeping into our fall fashions. I always try to find trends I personally know I can pull off without much issue and so below are four that I adored on the runway but will also wear happily all over the streets of New York.

Travel: Chicago.
Well, it was really night one. I got in at 5pm and had 2 hours to find a pharmacy, grab some essentials, check into my hotel, shower, & get dressed for a show. The show you ask. MJ The Musical! It was playing at the Nederlander Theatre, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see it while in town.

Getting an IUD.
You're seeing the face of a woman who is on cloud nine. You wouldn't know it just by looking but this version of Ally took a pretty huge step in her life. I owe no one an explanation but I felt like sharing in case others may end up here and wanted some insight or an opinion on it. Even yesterday I got a few DMs about it.

maybe ally...sees "Back to the Future: The Musical”.
If you've been here a while you knew this day was coming. Finally got to see Back to the Future The Musical on Broadway! It was a nice Sunday matinee at the theatre & the perfect way to end my solo weekend.

This Outfit is Heavy!
It's hard, to sum up what these films mean to me. Escapism was very real in my household. My life growing up was hard. I always imagined traveling with Doc to times I’d always wanted to see. The creation of the pyramids, the first flight! You name it I wanted to go. They helped me. They inspired me.

Hi Barbie. Hi Ken!
Did you hear the news? @heruniverse has a brand-new collection inspired by the one and only Barbie! The collection debuted last week and is so fun, flirty & PINK! The collection features iconic looks inspired by everyone's favorite doll!

Feelin’ Lizzie.
What dreams are made of!
You all know I love to wear lots of colors as the weather gets warmer so when you get gifted the most colorful dress around you frolic around Manhattan with it.

DISNEY100 AT THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE.
Oh, what fun! Headed to Philly and more specifically to @franklininstitute to see Disney100: The Exhibition. It was a real treat for fans of Disney looking to see rare costumes, learn about how some of the most famous characters in Disney history came about & much more!

TRAVEL: Philidelphia.
Once again Philly brought us joy, good food & a good time. It’s always a short but good time here.

LONDON FASHION: WHAT DID I WEAR?
I was so happy in London. My goodness, I was so pleased in London! Please remind me that if I ever leave New York I will move to London. What a city. I could go on and on for hours about how much I loved it there but instead, I will focus on fashion!

The Sharpest Coat I’ve Ever Owned.
A little commotion for the coat, please.
It broke my heart to leave this incredible Italian wool jacket at home. I had to leave it at home for our Paris/London trip because it’s a thick boy! & we had a lot more important things to bring. Alas, it was the first thing I wanted pictures of when we got back.

TRAVEL: Disneyland Paris
It felt like home, to be honest—3 years of waiting to get to a Disney park again. The last one I was in was out of the U.S. and Japan. Maybe that’s my new thing? Whatever it is May always involves a little magic & lots of travel.
